About the lightbringer effect
When one wears the lightbringer title, he gains the following effect:
Title. For each Rank of Lightbringer, you deal 5% more damage to and have +1 damage reduction against Abaddon and his demonic servants. Now, see the bolded part... well i dont get it Since it says +1, i feel it means that i already have some sort of damage reduction, does this refer to armor, effectively boosting it? Or, does it mean, if some tormented creature hit me for like 50 dmg, i would actually recieve 47 dmg if i have the third tier in the title (assuming i have 0 AL)... ? Or something third... |

I think if a foe would hit you for 10 without this, with it they hit for 9
Not sure though |

Your second assumption is correct. If you would take 100 damage, you'd take 97 at tier three. It acts as an absorbtion rune.

No it's just the guys in the Realm of NF.
It does come in handy when doing Legendary Skill Hunter. I blew through the realm with my LB6, and the sweet thing was even my heroes got the effect. GG! |

Ok thanks for the info.
But just one more thing, i forgot to ask in the first post does the +5% dmg only count on weapon attacks, or does it include spells, signets etc. ? |

from the wiki:
Note that this damage bonus does apply to certain armor-ignoring damage types (such as that dealt by Energy Surge or Chaos Storm) but not to others (such as that dealt by Illusionary Weaponry). As a rule of thumb (but with exceptions), damage caused by an immediate effect of a skill will be boosted, but damage which is indirect in some way (e.g. as a result of a Hex or Enchantment) will not be affected. |

Everything in which it would count as YOU being the source of damage. Most hexes and enchantments that deal damage don't count.

It includes spells, signets, etc.
It doesn't include indirrect forms of damage (ie, hex damage). So Spiteful Spirit doesn't get a bonus (since the hex, not you, technically inflicts the damage). Also, keep this in mind. The LB title, when active, also applies to all your heros and henchmen. So that little bit of damage absorbtion really starts to stack up over the long term and help out your monks. |
